Thanks a lot Thomas for your prompt and useful reply.
I feel a bit silly because I should have seen this was a .bashrc problem.
Everything works fine now. Thanks.
See you on Saturday.
Best Regards,
Lauriane

Dear Lauriane,
The problem is that the installer failed to prepend the new python PATH to your
.bash_profile , resulting in the commands (python, pip) to be executed with your
"machine python" not the one you just installed. Then, pip install msnoise will
search your system, won't find obspy, and will try to install it...
So, just see the lines below, edit the PATH line in your .bash_profile or .bashrc and
start a new terminal. When typing "python" your should see an Anaconda/Python
3.5 console. Then pip install msnoise should work smoothly.
Best regards,
Thomas

Prepending
PATH=/Users/lchardot/Documents/obspy/bin to PATH in /Users/lchardot/.bash_profile
A backup will be made to:/Users/lchardot/.bash_profile-obspy.bak
For this change to become active, you have to open a new terminal.
./ObsPy-1.0.3-py35_7-MacOSX-x86_64.sh: line 374: /Users/lchardot/.bash_profile:
