Hi Thomas,
I pass s06compute_dtt.py and find folder MWCS/. But I got error when calling 07.plot_dtt.py.
I check file length under MWCS folder, size of the files are 2. I am not sure if this is the problem to cause error of 07.plot_dtt.py?
Regards,
Xiao

Any idea?

Try again. My previous email is put in wrong thread. I hope this is a new thread. Sorry.
Hello,
When I run script "python s04stack.py -r -m", I suppose to see a new directory REF, but I cannot find it out.
In database table jobs, I can see a new type "DTT" and new flag "T", but I cannot see any type "CCF".
I set up value of mov_stack as 5.
Thanks,
Xiao
Dear all,
I've released a bugfix for MSNoise 1.2, there was a glitch in the stack
procedure, it worked, but took ages to finish. Now it should be quite
efficient (my current tests give ~80 seconds per 1 pair, 5 mov_stacks
and ~500 days, so ~30ms per export).
Cheers,
Thomas

/AGU 2013 related Workshop///
MSNoise/MFAST-Tessa: Workshop on computer packages to monitor changes
in isotropic and anisotropic seismic velocity
Following a successful workshop at the IAVCEI meeting in Kagoshima we
are holding another workshop on Sunday 8 December in San Francisco. The
workshop will be focused on teaching two new methods useful for
calculating seismic wave speeds and anisotropy, which can be used to
assess static or changing conditions. The workshop will consist of a
morning and an afternoon session, each one split in two: a description
of the technique and a hands-on learning part. Participants will be able
to learn the two methods.
Sample data sets will be provided for each of the methods and will be
discussed at the workshop. Attendees will be expected to bring their own
laptops with software that will be provided at the workshop. The topics
below will be offered.
1. Methodology and programs for using background seismic noise to
monitor changes in surface wave velocity with time. The package
called MSNoise (Monitoring using Seismic Noise) will be used. It is
written in Python (no Matlab needed). Thomas Lecocq (Royal
Observatory of Belgium), Correntin Caudron (ROB-EOS) and Florent
Brenguier (ISTerre Grenoble & IPG Paris, France) will be presenting it.
2. MFAST shear-wave splitting package and associate TESSA tomography
package. MFAST is written with free publicly available software;
TESSA requires MATLAB. Presenter: Martha Savage (Victoria University
of Wellington, NZ)
The workshop is free, but you need to sign up by November 1 with an
indication of which sessions you are most interested in attending. If
you are really only interested in one of the packages, that's fine, that
leaves a space for someone else in the other session!
We limit the number of participants to 25. First come, first served!
To sign up, please email BOTH of:
Martha Savage (martha.savage(a)vuw.ac.nz)
Thomas Lecocq [thomas.lecocq(a)seismology.be]
Participants will be confirmed via email by November 8.

Hi Thom,
thank you for your suggestion to update numpy and scipy.
$ python -c "import numpy; print numpy.__version__"
1.7.1
$ python -c "import scipy; print scipy.__version__"
0.12.0
I updated scipy from 0.12.0 to 0.12.1 but still have the same problem. Do you have any other idea?
Thanks a lot in advance
Carolin

Hi Carolin,
This is probably an issue related to versions of numpy and/or scipy.
Can you post the output of :
$ python -c "import numpy; print numpy.__version__"
$ python -c "import scipy; print scipy.__version__"
And maybe try to update numpy and scipy :
$ easy_install -U numpy scipy
Note, this might break other routines that depend on numpy (I usually
don't care so much).
Best regards
Thomas

Carolin,
How did you install scikits.samplerate ? Looking at the traceback, there
seems to be a tmp/ somewhere that is executed...

Dear users,
I'm thrilled to announce the release of MSNoise 1.2 ! This release marks
a big change in many aspects! In terms of performances:
* The MySQL DB is no longer a "forced choice": one can use a simple
sqlite database to run MSNoise. We still strongly recommend using
MySQL for performance reasons.
* The*whiten*function now returns the FFT of the signal, as this is
directly used by*MyCorr*, and we save the time needed
to/ifft/then/fft/the array.
* The*database_tools*have been completely rewritten in order to use
SQLAlchemy instead of explicit MySQL expressions.
Thanks to the feedback of some early users, we have been able to track
down bugs and pitfalls along the steps. Thedocumentation
<http://msnoise.org/doc>is now linked directly to the code, mostly
embedded in the steps, which allows its evolution together with the
code. I have rewritten theInstallation Guide
<http://msnoise.org/doc/installation.html>, it's now quite complete for
Windows and Linux. I need to find a Mac to test it sometime soon. There
are still some steps of the installation procedure that are not
straightforward for most users (MySQL server set-up), I'll try to
provide guidelines for this very soon.
For those already addicted to MSNoise, note the steps have changed
names: for example*02.new_jobs.py*is now*s02new_jobs.py*. This allows
importing each step as a module, which was required for building the
documentation.
*MSNoise 1.2*is available on GitHub.Download it
<https://github.com/ROBelgium/MSNoise/tree/1.2>and start playing ! Note,
1.2 is not compatible with the previous version (well, it *should* work
with a little tweaking to the database, scream on theMailing-List
<http://mailman-as.oma.be/mailman/listinfo/msnoise>if you need help!).
/Thanks to Kasper, Zack, Carolin, Philippe and Agathe for their inputs!
